Bebe Rexha attends the Warner Music Pre-Grammy Party at the NoMad Hotel on Feb. 7, 2019 in Los Angeles.
Bebe Rexha is mending her relationship with her father, who she says hasn’t spoken to her in two weeks since the release of her racy “Last Hurrah” music video.
Last week, Rexha shared and then deleted a harsh text with her father’s reaction to her video, “You better stop posting stupid pornography because you make me sick,” he wrote to her. “I can’t take this anymore.”
On Tuesday (Feb. 26), TMZ caught the pop star at LAX, where she was heading home to make amends with her dad, fully defending him and asking her fans to stop criticizing him. “He didn’t like the video, the video is a lot,” she told the publication. “My fans are getting a little too intense, they’re saying some mean s—about my dad.”
“He might have said something a little heated in the moment, I feel dumb for showing the screenshot,” she continued. “[But] I get him, I understand him. Don’t talk s— about my dad, that’s my father and he loves me.”
The “Last Hurrah” video, which was flagged by YouTube for “sensitive” content, features wild make outs, sexual innuendos, racy outfits, and a scene in which Rexha lies on a bed with crosses draped on her and “Daddy’s Angel” ironically written across her crotch. Watch the video below.
